Booked a table for 8 people as it was a birthday celebration.Had been to The Boat before and had an enjoyable time.
The Boat has new owners now.It was a lovley day the pub very busy.Booked the table for 2pm but was not ready until 2.20pm this did not bother us. Its was a carvery on offer. We were all very disappointed with the meal as there was very little to offer all the serving dishs were almost empty and when we started to eat the food was cold. We told the manager this she advised us that we should have waited untill more food was brought out to the hot plate, and that they were very busy and shorted staffed. We were not happy with the attitude of the manager as she told us if we were not happy not to bother coming back. We were all very suprised that she can afford to throw away custom like this, and for sure none of us will be going back. I would not recommend this pub while this manager still owns it.

Three hand pulled Yorkshire beers, popular restaurant with lunch and evening menus. Large secure garden for children, picnic tables on the riverbank. TV is away from the main bar. Nice mix of locals and visitors.
My kind of pub
